The Youth Orchestras of Charlotte is thrilled to announce its first ever international tour, taking place in Summer 2026, with performances in two of Europe’s most iconic musical cities: Salzburg and Vienna, Austria!

As part of this incredible journey, our talented young musicians will explore two of Europe’s most iconic musical cities, performing in renowned venues and immersing themselves in the rich cultural and historical heritage of Austria – the heartland of classical music.

This premier international tour represents a bold step forward for the Youth Orchestras of Charlotte and highlights our ongoing commitment to excellence, cultural enrichment, and artistic growth.

This tour promises to be an unforgettable experience of musical growth, cultural discovery, and international friendship.  We are proud to give our young musicians this unique opportunity to represent our community on a global stage.

Today we are speaking with Dr. Pereira, the visionary conductor and music director of the Youth Orchestras of Charlotte, about an exciting milestone in the youth orchestra’s journey – its upcoming premiere international tour to Austria. This tour marks more than just a series of performances abroad; it represents a powerful cultural exchange and a chance for young musicians to connect with the rich classical traditions of one of the world’s musical capitals. The cost per person is $4,619 inclusive of flights, accommodations, breakfasts and dinners.

Excluding flights alone, the cost per person is $3114.

Not included in the prices listed above: lunches & individual trip insurance fees.
